Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and technically sound R&D Chemist to join our R&D team. The ideal candidate will work on the development of novel processes, scale-up of existing molecules, and improvement of yields and quality in pharmaceutical API synthesis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct synthetic experiments for API and intermediate molecules in the laboratory
• Develop and optimize reaction conditions to improve yield, purity, and process efficiency
• Perform literature and patent searches related to product development
• Scale up lab processes to pilot and production level with support from cross-functional teams
• Maintain accurate documentation of lab activities, experiments, and results in lab notebooks
• Handle analytical data interpretation (NMR, IR, HPLC, GC, etc.) with coordination from QC
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and good laboratory practices (GLP)
• Participate in process validation, technology transfer, and troubleshooting activities
• Work closely with QA, QC, and production teams to support new product development

Skills & Competencies:

• Sound knowledge of organic chemistry, reaction mechanisms, and process development
• Hands-on experience in lab-scale synthesis and analytical data interpretation
• Knowledge of regulatory documentation and safety practices
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced R&D setup
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
