Job Description:

We are hiring a Lab Chemist responsible for testing and analyzing Raw Materials (RM) and Finished Goods (FG) in accordance with quality and food safety standards. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring that only compliant products are released for production and dispatch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct sampling and analysis of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
• Perform physical, chemical, and sensory evaluation of food products
• Maintain records of testing parameters, results, and deviations
• Ensure all incoming raw materials meet defined quality specifications before approval
• Perform routine checks on moisture, pH, fat, salt, ash, color, and texture
• Assist in shelf-life studies and stability testing
• Ensure adherence to FSSAI, GMP, and ISO/HACCP norms
• Calibrate lab equipment and maintain hygiene in the lab environment
• Prepare and review COAs, SOPs, and daily QC documentation
• Communicate test results with production, procurement, and QA departments

Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of basic food testing protocols and lab safety procedures
• Familiarity with FSSAI standards and packaging/labelling norms
• Proficiency in lab instruments (oven, pH meter, moisture analyzer, etc.)
• Good observation, documentation, and reporting skills
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple testing batches daily
