Job Description:
We are looking for a proactive and technically sound Maintenance & Project Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in engineering maintenance and project execution in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment. The role involves ensuring smooth functioning of plant equipment and participation in new project installations and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and utility equipment (pumps, compressors, chillers, boilers, reactors, etc.)
- Assist in installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of new equipment and plant expansion projects
- Maintain proper documentation of maintenance records, daily reports, and breakdown analysis
- Monitor and ensure timely calibration of instruments and compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for AMC, repairs, and equipment servicing
- Ensure energy efficiency, equipment reliability, and minimal downtime
- Support validation and qualification activities related to equipment and systems
- Work closely with QA and Production to align maintenance schedules with operational needs
Skills & Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems used in API/pharma manufacturing
- Understanding of GMP maintenance practices
- Ability to read equipment manuals, P&IDs, and technical drawings
- Good problem-solving and time management skills
- Proficiency in using MS Office and maintenance logs
